Teal Maedel has a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychlogy and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#3051) with the B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Teal has worked as a therapist for over 15 years in a variety of settings including private practice and social service agencies. Over these year Teal has assisted clients in addressing a variety of therapeutic issues. In addition, she has supervized counselling psychology masters students in their practicuum settings.Teal is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Level 1 and 11. Teal has extensive training in trauma, grief and loss and cognitive behaviour therapy. She has been the team leader for a critical incident stress management team and had facilitated numerous debriefings.

Teal's approach to therapy is a client centered and collaborative. Teal works with her clients to develop and reach goals that enhance their quality of life. Teal strives to maintain the highest level of professional integrity and continues to train to maintain and enhance her intervention skills.
