Orlando is a registered clinical social worker, counselling both in private practice and in hospital. He provides counselling for those coping with end of life issues, group counselling for the bereaved, and individual counselling with diverse and cross-cultural groups and for a range of concerns (addictions, sexuality, abuse, depression, anxiety, death and dying, chronic illness, self-esteem, anger). His approach emphasizes psychodynamic therapy and mindfulness, methods which help individuals understand themselves better in order to live more fully in the world and lead more meaningful lives. Because no two persons are alike, he provides a technique that encompasses aspects of a wide-variety of approaches to suit his clients’ needs. In the end, Orlando believes that providing an environment of compassion, empathy, respect and confidentiality is the basis to a successful therapy.

Orlando Frizado received his masters in social work from New York University. He continues to study with the Western Branch Canadian Pscyhoanalytic Society.
