I am a Masters-level Registered Clinical Counsellor with an office in downtown Vancouver. I work from the belief that we all experience challenging life situations, bringing us difficult thoughts and feelings – or absence of feelings. I understand that often we are able to use our internal resources (self, spirit, problem-solving) and external resources (community, family, friends) to deal with these situations on our own. Other times, we need a little more.

Working extensively with adults, teens, children and families, I support clients to move forward from life’s difficult times. Some of the concerns I've helped clients manage include coping with grief and loss, overcoming depression and anxiety, improving personal and family relationships, increasing self-esteem, moving through major life transitions, building parent-child relationships, and healing from the impact of traumatic events or abuse.  I have additional knowledge and training in children’s issues.

Within a warm and compassionate environment, I combine research, training and experience in Talk, Experiential, Somatic (neurobiological) and Expressive Art Therapy methods (sandtray, art, play, drama, music) to encourage you to

My previous experiences include counselling roles in: a local university counselling center, community outreach facilities, private practices, community non-profit agencies, a safe house for women and children, programs for caregivers/children affected by various types of abuse, elementary/ secondary/alternative school settings and a residential treatment center for youth.

I am approved to serve claimants with the BC Crime Victim Assistance Program and offer a reduced student rate.
