Dr. Herbert completed her doctoral training in School and Clinical Child Psychology, a program accredited by the Canadian and American Psychological Associations, through the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto.

Dr. Herbert has provided psychological assessment and treatment services in community mental health, hospital, clinic, and school settings. She has provided child and youth mental health services to various communities on Vancouver Island, including Victoria, Saanich, Westshore, and Duncan.
