Jim is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#522) and a Registered Social Worker (#75-2699) and consultant with 44 years experience working with children, youth and families. He has specialized training and experience in working with child and youth behavioral issues, suicidal ideation and trauma as well as extensive marital and relationship counselling experiences with adults.

Jim’s work has included 20 years as a behavioral investigator with the BC coroner’s Service and 34 years working closely with the RCMP and youth crime. Jim established the first Behavioral Investigation Program for the Province of BC Coroner’s Service. This work was performed concurrently with his duties as manager and senior consultant with Langley Youth and Family Services and involved investigative research, teaching and reporting.

Jim brings his considerable knowledge and experience into his work with parents, youth, therapists and teachers.

Jim has a Masters degree in Psychology, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with B.C. Association of Clinical Counsellors and is a Registered Social Worker with the B.C. College of Social Workers and carries Enhanced RCMP Security Clearance.

Jim is trained in the Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy Model and is a Clinical Member of the Satir Institute of the Pacific and is also a member of the Trauma Incident Reduction Association.

Clients find Jim down to earth and easy to talk to. He believes in the importance of helping the client work to discover his/her internal resources and solutions in order to create transformational experiences.
