I work with life challenges and transitions; personal growth; individuals and families living with life threatening illness; relationships; grief and loss; and elder care. Individuals come to therapy at times in their lives when they are experiencing emotional discomfort and are searching for a different way to be in the world. The way I work includes conversation, imagery, and relaxation. I am trained as a therapist with additional concentrations in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

From 1999 to 2010, I worked as a counsellor at Delta Hospice with individuals, couples and families and was a member of the South Fraser Health Palliative Care Team offering support as a psychosocial consultant. I am a founding member of the Callanish Society (1995), a non-profit organization offering support to individuals and their families who are living with cancer.

In addition, I offer clinical supervision/consultation to other counsellors, child care workers, social workers and agencies working with general counselling issues such as grief, loss, trauma, and developmental issues. Programme teams often find consultation useful to review/debrief challenging or unfamiliar situations.
