To this end, let me tell you a bit about myself...

I am a registered psychologist with a private practice in Coquitlam. Since earning my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Simon Fraser University in 1996, I have helped individual adults with a wide range of issues related to trauma, relationship problems, anxiety, and depression.

So, how do I bring understanding and resolution to the problems that my clients and I are working on?

In my view, real change emerges within the safety of the therapeutic relationship. A "goodness of fit" or attunement with a counsellor is essential to working through the tough stuff.

I have noticed that as folks begin to work through their difficulties, they start to realize what's right about them. Emotions, thoughts, and behavioural patterns start linking up. They feel empowered. Change is happening from the inside out...and I am with them every step of the way!

And, lest you think that therapy is always serious, I would like you to know about the healing power of shared laughter. Even dark times have moments of awe and joy!
