There are several approaches to cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) , including Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, Rational Behaviour Therapy,and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy. They all help individuals alter distorted attitudes and problem behaviour by identifying and replacing negative inaccurate thoughts and changing the rewards for behaviours. A cognitive behavioural approach recognizes that thoughts, behaviours and emotions are all interlinked.
